MANILA, Philippines — Television host Mariel Rodriquez-Padilla urged the public to stop spreading rumors and linking her husband, actor Robin Padilla to blogger and OWWA Deputy Administrator Mocha Uson.
In an Instagram post late Thursday, Mariel said it was not the time to be “assholes” as her husband was still grieving over the death of his brother
“So many people are sending me messages… ‘checking; on me. People are tagging me bla bla bla… let me tell you this. ROBIN’S BROTHER PASSED AWAY. He is grieving. He has never been in so much pain all his life. He doesn’t need your baseless gossip,” Mariel wrote.
“Namatayan ng kapatid yung asawa ko. Please lang po. He doesn’t even know anything about all this rumor but i am putting a stop to this NOW. May oras para maging assholes now is not that time. Please,” she went on.

Rumors circulated that Robin and Mocha are expecting a baby after Philippine Entertainment Portal shared a blind item titled “Controversial female personality, nabuntis ng sikat na aktor?”
Netizens circulated the said blind item over social media, with some speculating that it referred to the action star and blogger who are both supporters of President Duterte.
