In this forum, Inquirer Entertainment asked some young stars what 2020 taught them and what are their hopes for the year ahead.
Jeric Gonzales
I learned that we should really take care of ourselves always, and that we should give more time and love to our family, loved ones and friends. We must support each other. Most importantly, we must always pray and seek God’s help with what’s happening to the world.
My goal next year is to continue doing what I do. I look forward to doing more projects, shows (dreaming of action or drama series), and hopefully, a movie. I will continue to work on my music. I will continue to write songs so I can finally release an original single or eventually, an album.

There are a lot of things that we should be thankful for. After all that has happened this year, we’re still kicking and we’re still fighting. When you look back a few months from now, you will realize how blessed you are, that you’re healthy and your family is safe.
Mikee Quintos
This year has been tough but I’m grateful for all the lessons and time spent with my loved ones. I think that should be a good enough reason to wake up every day with a smile. Fighting!
Klea Pineda
I have learned a lot of things last year, and one of those is loving myself. You don’t need the approval of other people. You yourself should know whether or not what you’re doing is right or wrong. I became more focused on work and learned to love what I do even more. I learned how to be strong and keep the spirit. I learned how to trust and love myself.
My goals for 2021 are the same: I would like to resume my studies and pursue my dream of becoming a pilot. And I will continue living my life, optimistic that everything will be OK.
Gio Alvarez
I learned that life is short and fragile. So though we put effort into planning for the future, the present should be as important.
What I plan for 2021 is to make sure that my health is at par—so diet, diet, diet! And I hope to do more shows!
