MANILA, Philippines – The Movie Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) meted out a 20-day suspension against “T3”, the TV5 program hosted by the brothers of Philippine Daily Inquirer columnist and radio host Mon Tulfo who threatened a celebrity couple after figuring in a brawl with him at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport recently.
The MTRCB, through lawyer Eugenio “Toto” Villareal, in a press conference said a hearing was set at 10 a.m. on May 14.
Erwin, Raffy and Ben Tulfo had used their program “T3” to threaten Raymart Santiago and Claudine Barretto on Monday, a day after the fight at the NAIA 3.
TV5 meted a three-day suspension on the brothers that started Wednesday until this Friday.
The fight between Tulfo and the Santiagos erupted when the newsman was caught taking pictures of Claudine who was allegedly berating a ground stewardess of Cebu Pacific which failed to inform them about their baggage that was off loaded on their flight back to Manila from Boracay.
A video on YouTube showed the Santiagos and some of their friends from the trip ganging up on Tulfo.
Both camps have since filed charges.
