‘Crash Landing On You’ is most-searched K-Drama on Google PH this year
MANILA, Philippines — Ever told yourself you’re just going to watch one more episode of your favorite Korean drama series and before you know it, an overnight has passed?
One of the things that kept many Filipinos busy and occupied during the quarantine period is Korean drama—and arguably one of the most popular series that hooked many of us this year is the love story between Captain Ri Jeong Hyeok and Yoon Se-Ri in “Crash Landing On You.”
How popular is it, you ask?
According to Google Philippines, Crash Landing on You was the most-searched K-Drama in the country this year. Not only that, it is also the most-searched television show even if western series are to be considered.
Its male lead, Hyun Bin who played Captain Ri Jeong Hyeok in the series, is also the most-searched South Korean personality in the country. While Son Ye-Jin, who played Yoon Se-Ri, placed seventh.
During its online thanksgiving party on Thursday, Google Philippines said that these are the top 10 most-searched K-Dramas in the country this year:
