MANILA, Philippines — Kapamilya actress Angelica Panganiban was showered with love as she celebrated her 34th birthday on Wednesday.
One of those who greeted her was Maxene Magalona, who described Panganiban as “[s]imple, kontento at masayang masaya sa sarili (simple, content, and very happy with herself).”
Panganiban and Magalona’s bond trace back to the “Ang TV” days back in the 1990s. The two also co-starred in the afternoon drama series “Playhouse” aired on ABS-CBN.
“Isa siya sa mga pinaka totoong taong nakilala ko sa industriya at sa buhay. Napakasaya kasama. Napakabuti ng puso,” Magalona said of Panganiban’s good traits.
(She is one of the most genuine people that I have met in the industry. Very happy to be with. She also has a good heart.)
“Dahil sa kanya, natuto ako maging malakas, matapang at madamdamin,” she added.
(Because of her, I learned how to be emotional, strong, and tough.)
Kim Chiu also greeted Panganiban a happy birthday and even thanked the actress for being a good friend to her.
“Will forever treasure the tears we shared and most especially the laughter we always have whenever we’re together! Salamat sa pagiging totoong kaibigan (Thank you for being a true friend)!,” Chiu said.
“Deserve mo yan! Deserve mo na paliguan ng happiness dahil mabuti kang tao,. kaibigan, kapatid, anak, pinsan, artista ng bayan, and many more,” she added.
(You deserve it! You deserve to be showered with happiness because you are a good person, friend, sister, daughter, cousin, a star of the masses and many more.)
And John Prats, who Panganiban co-starred with in “Banana Sundae,” called the actress his “best friend.”
“Happy birthday sa aking matalik na kaibigan. Mahal na mahal kita. Sa atin talaga walang iwanan!,” Prats expressed.
(Happy birthday to my best friend! I love you so much. We will never leave each other.)
“Magkalayo man at may kanya kanyang buhay alam natin na andito lang tayo para sa isat isa!” he added.
(We may be apart having our own lives, but we always know that we have each other’s backs.)
