The 51st Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation (GMMSF) Box Office Entertainment Awards has recognized the leadership of the top executives of the JC conglomerate — Jonathan So, president and CEO, and Carlito Macadangdang, vice president and CFO — as this year’s Most Outstanding Global Entrepreneurs.
As founders of one of the leading conglomerates in the country, these two have contributed so much to business especially during this pandemic. They have not only produced well-loved products but in the process provided extra income to those who lost their jobs due to the lockdowns prompted by the pandemic.
Among these products are CopperMask and Ninja Ion, which offer protection against the coronavirus. There are also well-loved Calvit-C, K-Pads, Barley, and Good Leaf Ashitaba — which have come to be highly demanded in the market.
The pandemic has forced many businesses to shut down. But So and Macandangdang forged on — creating and acquiring even more businesses.
Instead of cutting down on manpower, they hired hundreds of employees over the course of seven months. And they also made sure these employees would be well taken care of through their employee relationship programs.
Still striving and honing their skills more, these two millennial executives earned the respect not of their own workers but of the entire business community.
They have maintained a good relationship with their suppliers, brand ambassadors, distributors, and customers.
They measure their success by counting not only their profits but also the number of people they have served.
Even now, with their businesses spread out in the fields of food, health and wellness, and technology, they are still keeping their eyes open to other opportunities to provide better options for our community.
