Could Pia Wurtzbach be attempting to patch things up with her sister Sarah in person?
The Miss Universe 2015 titleholder headed to the United Kingdom last night after Sarah lashed out at her online, Inquirer Bandera reported yesterday, Oct. 13.
Sarah hurled invectives at Pia via Instagram Stories over the weekend, accusing her and their mom, Cheryl Alonzo Tyndall, of having bad attitudes. She claimed that their mom was abusive to her and that Pia has not given her support.
When Inquirer Bandera asked a source close to Pia if she had not been able to help her younger sister financially, the source said, “Jusko, sa tingin mo ba may pagkukulang si Pia sa kanya? Sobra-sobra pa nga, [‘di] lang financial (My God, do you think Pia has not done enough for her? She has given so much, not just financially)!”
The same source said that Pia was saddened about the turn of events. “Siyempre malungkot. Aayusin nila iyan as a family. ‘Di kami nagkukulang sa pag-alalay kay Pia. Pero mahirap rin makialam kasi pamilya iyan (Of course it is sad. They will fix it as a family. We have done a lot to help Pia, but of course it is hard to interfere because it is a family matter).”
Sarah has since appealed to the public not to “hate” on her sister and reasoned that she was simply venting her frustrations.
She also said she was not seeking money or fame. “I really just want a hug… I feel so alone [every day],” she wrote on Instagram Stories.
Prior to the feud, the two sisters appeared to be on good terms. Pia visited her sister in the UK when she flew to the country last July and stayed there for a few months. She has also been open about her affection for Sarah’s young daughter Lara.
The beauty queen’s manager, Rikka Infantado-Fernandez, told Inquirer Bandera in a statement, “This is a family matter so we respect their privacy. We pray for a peaceful reconciliation and healing for all concerned. Thank you.” Niña V. Guno /ra
