Actress Angelica Panganiban admits to employing weird and funny ways to beat depression while quarantined at home.
She recalls to Inquirer Entertainment the time when she played dress-up with comedian Ketchup Eusebio, who spent his two-week quarantine at Angelica’s condo unit during the first weeks of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in March.
“Ketchup and I enjoyed dressing up. It was so fun. I realized that I was having a good time because I was so excited that I would prepare the clothes I’d wear the next day before I went to bed,” the actress recalls.
She would dress up according to a preset theme, she adds. “I was a cowgirl one time and an action star the next. Aliw moment talaga siya,” declares the star of the action-drama series “Walang Hanggang Paalam.”
When Ketchup’s quarantine period ended and had already left for home, Angelica says, it was when she realized that she needed to do all the house chores on her own. “I needed to carry gallons of distilled water to my unit. At first, I was like, ‘Kaya ko ba ‘to?’ But since I’m a proud person, I didn’t ask help from the condo guard.”
Angelica lives on the third floor of a condo that doesn’t have an elevator. “I’ve managed to carry all of them, eventually. Every day, I would bring up one water container. I was really slow, of course, but I was still pleased with myself. Kaya ko naman pala, umaarte lang ako,” she says, laughing.
