Diana Zubiri welcomes third child
Diana Zubiri revealed that she has given birth to a healthy baby girl named Amira amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The actress and her husband, Andy Smith, spoke about their newborn in a vlog post on her YouTube channel yesterday, Oct. 7.
Though the couple kept the pregnancy low-key, they made sure to document the whole journey in a 15-minute video. The vlog showed the moment Zubiri knew she was expecting up until the birth of Amira.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions and social distancing guidelines, Zubiri and Smith had to hold a gender reveal party with their loved ones through a video call. After hearing the guesses of their friends and family, they announced that they were having a second daughter.

Despite Smith’s enthusiasm over their new baby, he was not allowed to be beside Zubiri for Amira’s birth as a precaution against the virus.

During Zubiri’s quarantine period, Smith will be staying with their first daughter Aliya and Zubiri’s son King, whom she shares with her late ex-husband, Alex Lopez.
Smith also could not help but tear up when he saw the first photo of Amira with Zubiri right after her birth.
“I am emotional because I wasn’t emotional the first time with Aliyah, ’cause I was more shocked,” he said.
Smith later stated that Zubiri’s journey was far from easy even if this is her third time giving birth.
“You know if you only saw how hard it was for her for the last months, especially last week,” he stated while stressing that the three days prior the birth were the hardest for Zubiri.
While Zubiri and baby Amira must distance themselves for a while, Smith is still determined to document their first few days together even from afar. He revealed that he bought a ladder to be able to photograph the mother and daughter from the window of their bedroom during the two weeks.
As the video ended, Zubiri showed her and Amira safe back in their home.
