Angillyn Gorens has spoken up after receiving negative reactions to her split with actor Buboy Villar.
Their breakup was confirmed in a report from the Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP) on Monday, Oct. 5.
Gorens, who shares two kids with Villar, said yesterday, Oct. 6, via Facebook, “Why do I feel like I owe the Philippines an apology for my [breakup]?”
“People be saying me and Buboy Jr Villar are bad parents because we broke up? Really guys???? That makes zero sense!” she added in the comments section.
Villar, for his part, reassured his former partner. “[‘Wag] ka mag alala… [at least] alam natin ang totoo (Don’t worry… at least we know what is true).”
“Too much na sila. Bad parents na daw tayo porket [naghiwalay],” replied Gorens.
(They’re too much. We are supposedly bad parents because we separated.)
“Hindi ako palaging mabait ah,” Villar admitted. “Alam mo yun hahahaha pero sa mga anak natin surrender ako.”
(I am not always good, you know that, but when it comes to our kids I will do anything.)
Gorens’ sister Veybillyn also came to the ex-couple’s defense via Facebook, stating that they are able to support their kids financially and by giving them love.
“Mas mahirap sa mga anak nila kung ipipilit ang bagay na di na talaga [pwede]. Ang importante naman siguro open sila at [nag-uusap] sila, walang bitterness or kahit na ano,” she reasoned.
(It will be harder for the kids if [their relationship] will be forced even if it is [not working.] What is more important is that they are open and communicating without bitterness.)
The two had their first child, 3-year-old Vlanz, when Villar was 18. They also have a 1-year-old baby named George.
Their kids currently live with Gorens’ parents. She explained in the PEP report that Villar is busy with shoots, which is why they are staying with her. She said their current arrangement allows for Villar to visit the kids or pick them up any time. /ra
