MANILA, Philippines — Miss Earth 2017 Karen Ibasco has bared that she is a coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) survivor.
In an Instagram post on Wednesday, the beauty queen revealed that she and her family tested positive for COVID-19.
In her post, she also shared contact details of hospitals that offer swab testing.
“I had been quiet on social media but I know I have to share my journey so others will be informed with what to do if ever they get infected,” Ibasco said.
“We (my whole family) did all the precautions but sad to say we still had it,” she added.
Ibasco said that her family may have contracted the disease from items delivered to them.
And after three weeks since being infected, Ibasco said that while her body is still recovering, she is slowly getting her strength back.
