Ben&Ben will be staging an online concert to raise funds for teachers and students amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The event is called “Puhon 2” and will stream on the nine-piece band’s Facebook and YouTube pages on Sunday, Oct. 4 at 5:00 p.m. The group announced the initiative on their Facebook account last Tuesday, Sept. 29.

Donations collected from the concert will be used to provide public school teachers and students with e-learning or physical supplies, as per its website. Along with the educational items, the initiative will also give teachers care packages that include vitamins and personal protective equipment.

The team behind the effort will be handing over the supplies to schools in Aklan, Cebu City, Las Piñas City, Negros Oriental, Pampanga, Pasay City and Quezon City, among others.

Those interested in supporting the cause may donate through this link. People who opt to give in-kind donations instead should contact Jobelle Otida through her phone number +63 916 291 6762 and send them to 119 Progreso, FB Harrison in Pasay City.

The band is also partnering with groups such as Limitless Lab, Youth for a United World and The Spark Project for the upcoming concert.

Ben&Ben also held an online benefit show last March to raise funds for various COVID-19 efforts in the Philippines. JB
