MANILA, Philippines — Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach on Tuesday mocked her bashers who came at her after encouraging everyone to register and vote in the next elections.

In a late-afternoon tweet, Wurtzbach also showed her bashers that she was unafraid of the hate she’s receiving.

“’Pag bukas ko ng Twitter ko, nagdagsaan na naman ‘yung mga bashers (When I opened my Twitter, a deluge of bashers came again),” Wurtzbach said on the micro-blogging site.

But, she also said: “Sanay na sanay na po ako sa ganito. Noon pa man ay binabash na ko, even before Miss U (I am so used to this. I was already the subject of bashing, even before Miss U).”

Wurtzbach even shared some words of wisdom about dealing with bashing: “I learned that you should never be afraid to speak your mind especially when you know it’s right.”

Earlier Tuesday, the 2015 Miss Universe encouraged her fans and followers to register and vote in the 2022 elections after President Rodrigo Duterte granted absolute pardon to US Marine Lance Corporal Joseph Scott Pemberton, who was convicted in 2015 for the killing of transgender woman Jennifer Laude.
