Vice Ganda and Ion Perez recently celebrated their monthsary, and to mark the day, they set out to buy each other gifts.
The catch was that they had to get something worth only P1,000.
Vice shared how the challenge went down in his YouTube vlog on Sept. 5.
Perez was confident he could find something, saying of the amount, “Sobra pa nga ‘to eh (This is even too much).”
“Baka walang ka kwenta-kwenta ang ibigay mo sa ‘kin (You might get me something worthless),” Vice said, prompting Perez to assure the comedian that he will appreciate the gift.
The two parted ways to go shopping and had an hour and a half to find each other a present.
Both hit stumbling blocks at first, finding out that their original gift ideas were outside the budget. Eventually they did get something they thought the other would like: Perez bought matching bracelets while Vice got a bike grip and a card.
Vice also decided to get another gift outside of the challenge: a bike helmet worth P14,000.
The “It’s Showtime” host confirmed in November 2019 that he and Perez had been together for a year. Perez celebrated 22 months with Vice through a heartfelt spoken word piece in August. JB
