MANILA, Philippines — While they already set a date for their wedding, actress Kris Bernal admitted that she and her fiancé Perry Choi have yet to make progress in planning the event due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a vlog shared over her Youtube channel, Kris said the health crisis situation has made it hard for them to reserve a church and even form a team to plan their wedding.
“Talagang ang date namin to get married is May next year, 2021. Ang naging problema lang namin, hindi kami maka-reserve ngayon. Hindi kami maka-book ng church, di kami makabuo ng team,” Kris said in the video posted on Wednesday.
(Our tentative wedding date is May 2021. But the problem is we cannot reserve right now. We cannot book a church, we cannot form a team.)
“Talagang wala, zero planning kami ngayon. Hindi namin inaasikaso, di mo sure kung kailan eh. Hindi rin tayo sure kung matutuloy sa May 2021 e,” she went on.
(We have zero planning as of now. We haven’t done anything about it because you’re not sure when the wedding will happen. We’re not sure if the wedding will push through in May 2021.)
Apart from having a hard time in planning the wedding, Kris said the pandemic also delayed the soon-to-be home where they will settle after getting married.
“The reason why magkakaroon ng delay ang wedding is because of the house. Construction will be delayed because of the pandemic,” she said.

It was in February this year when Kris got engaged to her non-showbiz boyfriend.
