The role of talent managers is to develop stars by mapping out their career paths. But what do you do when the so-called “overseer” of your showbiz career begins to mismanage it?
This is the question that a popular love team is trying to answer at the moment. The onscreen couple, Grateful Babies (GB), was supposed to renew its contract as the brand endorser of a popular product, but its two managers thumbed down the renewal, saying that their “vision for GB’s career has already changed.”
GB was told that it would sign up with another brand, but, sadly, the deal didn’t push through.
Poor GB secretly contacted the brand’s liaison to say that it never wanted to give up the endorsement deal. After all, not renewing the contract meant losing millions of pesos in talent fees. Is it already too late for GB?
