Actor Gerald Anderson, who has been the subject of scathing commentaries in the past, advises readers to first “process” news reports about the deadly COVID-19 virus before believing in them.

“You need to research them first. You can’t just accept as truth everything that you read, especially if you’ve just seen them on social media. Most of the time, these stories only touch on the surface of the issue,” Gerald tells Inquirer Entertainment.

“Verify the information by searching for it on reliable news channels or websites. There, you will see that there’s always a deeper story to that news bit that you saw on Facebook. You will understand the context of what has been said or done,” he adds.

He notes that “as you read more articles about the topic, you will also find stories about it that are contradicting. It’s up to you to find the middle ground.”—Marinel Cruz
