JoshLia finally reunited? Julia hopes latest project with Joshua won’t be the last

MANILA, Philippines — As Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia fired up JoshLia fans with their reconnection on Twitter Monday night, does this mean we’ll get to see more of the former couple?

For Barretto, she hopes that her reunion project with Garcia, a short film “Love Unlock: E-numan” set to be released on Saturday, Aug. 15, won’t be their last.

Their last project, the zombie film “Block Z”, was released back in January.

“I think, first of all, we’re just so excited to be reunited for this project that’s coming out on Saturday,” Barretto said during a press conference for her upcoming short film on Tuesday.

“And we’re both really hoping that it isn’t the last kasi (because) we always talk about our dream stories, and our dream theme songs. We’ve always wanted to pitch some stories kasi marami pa kaming gustong mga stories (because we still have some stories in mind),” she added.

In “Love Unlock: E-numan”, Barretto and Garcia play ex-lovers who reminisce about the past through an online reunion.

And the actors’ Twitter exchange somehow rekindled the closeness between the two actors and former lovers.

Despite their breakup, Barretto said she and Garcia are happy right now that they have maintained their friendship.

“We have such a good friendship right now and we’re both really at ease with each other and nakakapag-asaran pa kami (we still teased each other) like we’re doing last night. And it’s so nice to have that,” the actress said.

“And being good friends and being at peace with each other is the reason why we’re both in a really good place right now. It’s because we’re okay, we’re really good friends,” she added.

“Love Unlock: E-numan” is set to be screened at the free online channel Kapamilya Online Live, available through ABS-CBN Entertainment’s Facebook page and YouTube channel. [ac]
