Before jetting off to the United States, Donita Rose was thrown a fun party and received sweet goodbyes from her dear friends in show biz.
Ruffa Gutierrez, Karla Estrada, Sunshine Cruz, Vina Morales and Jackie Forster organized a despedida for the former MTV VJ.
Morales made a video to commemorate the occasion, describing the day as “90s momshies reunite” on Instagram yesterday, Aug. 4.
She said the party took place before Metro Manila went on modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) and that they had tested negative for COVID-19.
The full video, posted on YouTube, shows the six friends at Morales’ house swimming and belting their hearts out on karaoke.
Forster shared a snippet of the video on Instagram showing them all sing to Whitney Houston’s “Greatest Love of All.”
She poked fun at Gutierrez’s off-key vocals, stating, “The only time @iloveruffag isn’t poised,” and told her friends: “Love you ladies mucho!!!”
Cruz, meanwhile, posted photos of them yesterday on Instagram posing in the pool.
“Taken before MECQ. So happy to see these beautiful momshies for Donita’s despedida. We will miss you Dee. We love you!”
Last July, Gutierrez revealed that she had a farewell dinner with Rose and stated that she would “wisely start a new life in America.” She shared hope too that her friend might find her “Prince Charming” in the States.
Rose was born in the US and was previously based there while she was married to her now ex-husband Eric Villarama. She has been raising their teen son as a single parent. /ra
