The Professor and the gang might have already committed their last heist as hit Spanish series “La Casa de Papel,” called “Money Heist” in English, will be ending with its fifth part.

“Part 5: the heist comes to an end,” streaming service Netflix announced yesterday, July 31.

Creator Álex Pina early in July revealed to fans that he has been writing the script for part 5 amid the pandemic.

“Money Heist” is a heist crime drama following the story of a group of people with different skill sets as they commit some of Spain’s most elaborate heists led by a highly intelligent and mysterious man called the Professor.

Part 5 will be picking up after the events of the part 4 finale, where the Professor, played by Álvaro Morte, was last seen being discovered by actress Najwa Nimri’s Alicia Sierra.

Sense8 star Miguel Ángel Silvestre and Patrick Criado will also be joining the cast, as per American magazine Entertainment Weekly yesterday.

While Pina has yet to reveal what the their roles are, he teased in an interview with the magazine that the two will be “opponents” who are “charismatic, intelligent, shiny” and can even “measure up” against the Professor’s intelligence.

Part 5 will also be seeing the transition of the heist crime drama from a “chess game,” which Pina described as “a mere intellectual strategy,” to a war strategy focusing on “attack and contention.”

Pina also noted that the gang’s new goal to avenge their fallen comrades will lead to a war that results in “the most epic part of all the parts we’ve shot.”

Production for part 5 will begin this coming Monday, Aug. 3, in Denmark before they film in Spain and Portugal, according to the report. Ian Biong /ra
