The nine-piece folk-pop band Ben&Ben has finally released the music video for one of their latest songs titled “Lifetime” yesterday, July 28.

The video centers on a young male artist who paints a portrait of a woman he has been thinking about, as seen on the band’s YouTube page on the same day.

After finishing his piece, the artist sees it hung on a wall inside a museum. While viewing his painting, he lays down in front of it and eventually falls asleep.

When he wakes up, he stands up to find the woman that inspired his painting looking at him. He then follows her to view other artworks in the museum.

While looking at one piece, they eventually hold each other’s hands and slow dance together. However, the artist soon wakes up from his sleep and finds himself in front of his painting again, realizing that his encounter with the woman was only a dream.

The band released the song last month. They explained that it is a tribute to one of their fans who had hidden romantic feelings for her male best friend.

The fan also shared that her friend eventually got married to another woman but admitted to her that he developed romantic feelings for her before.

“We didn’t know that if only one of us dared to make a move, a lifetime was waiting for us,” she said at the time.

Along with “Lifetime”, Ben&Ben has also been busy creating other tracks amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. They previously dropped their first international single titled “Doors” last April. JB
