MANILA, Philippines — Comedian Kim Idol has died, his friend and fellow comedian Allan K confirmed on Monday.
“Anak, alam ko lumaban ka para hindi mo kami iwan. Pinaalis mo lang kami ng ate mo dahil hindi namin kaya na mawala ka. Maraming nagmamahal sayo anak. We love u!” the comedian’s mother Maria Argente wrote on Facebook.
(I know you fought so that you will not leave us. You just allowed me and your sister to go because we cannot see you dying. A lot of people love you. We love you!)
Kim Idol’s friend and fellow comedian Allan K also confirmed the sad news, saying the former was one of the best talents that his comedy bars had.
“You were one of the best talents Klownz and Zirkoh have ever had. One of the funniest on and off stage. You will always be remembered by people whose lives you touched through comedy. Rest in peace Kim Idol. We will miss you,” Allan K said in an Instagram post.
The confirmation of Kim Idol’s death came after it was reported that the 41-year old comedian was in critical condition and in life support after he was found unconscious on Thursday in his room at the Philippine Arena where he was helping COVID-19 patients.
Kim previously revealed he has Arteriovenous Malformation, a medical condition in which the blood vessels connecting arteries and veins get tangled and disrupt the flow of blood and oxygen.
