Jinri Park opened up on her life in Sydney, Australia, after she left her modeling career in the Philippines and got married last March.
Park shared that she has been working at a restaurant for the past week and is saving to fund her education so that she can “get a degree for that job I want in the future.”
“Now that I’m in my 30s, life has changed 180! I got married, moved to Australia, and now… got a job!” the “Pinoy Big Brother” alum announced.
“For this past week I worked as a trainee for a restaurant being a waitress,” she said, adding that she had a degree in hotel and restaurant management, and worked in Makati City restaurant Your Local.
She reflected on how her life has changed in her 30s compared to her 20s, describing her younger years as one of “glamour.”
“From all the fun times I had during my college days, just drinking and clubbing with my friends to becoming a radio jock, model, actress and host, it’s definitely been exciting,” she recalled.
She said that when she moved to Sydney, she did not know what career path to take, and that the “glamorous life of being a model” was no longer something she wanted.
“After months of thinking and discussing with family, I got to choose something I thought would be a good match for my strengths and personality,” she said. “I can’t tell you right now but will definitely update everyone once it starts!”
Her stint at the restaurant has led her to meet Filipino guests. Park advised, “If you ever meet me don’t be shy! It’s creepier if you just stare hahaha.”
“Looking forward to my new start, taking responsibility for my future,” she declared. “Don’t ever be afraid to do something new, to start from the bottom and build your way up again.”
She also thanked fans for their support “even after I got married, moved to Australia and don’t work as a sexy model.”
Park wed her husband John, a Filipino raised in Australia, last March. She said that they had to postpone their wedding ceremony due to the coronavirus pandemic but got legally married in the presence of her husband’s family. JB
