Award-winning actress Cherie Gil has put on offer an online acting masterclass this July, where she will discuss the craft of acting and creative expression.
Gil, known for her iconic portrayal of kontrabida (antagonist) roles, such as Lavinia Arguelles in “Bituing Walang Ningning”, designed the masterclass herself, she announced Friday, June 26 on Instagram.
It is open to applicants ages 18 and up.
There is a fee of P10,000 for all six sessions, which will run from July 7 to 18. Part of the proceeds will benefit the Save Our Schools network.
“This personally designed masterclass intimately shares the secrets of The Diva herself, aided with interesting exercises and productive worksheets,” her post stated.
Gil has given a peek into what her students will learn from her extensive knowledge and experience in drama by releasing the syllabus today on Instagram.
“I’ve always aspired that one day, I would pass on what I’ve learned from the years I’ve been in the industry of show and performance,” she said.
It appears to not only focus on the craft but also on one’s personal goals. For instance, the first day focuses on “finding inspiration through the art of acting” while day four dives into “principles in discovering and understanding the ‘good kind’ of ego.”
