Sylvia Sanchez and her family treated her second daughter Gela Atayde to a simple surprise in their home to celebrate the latter’s 18th birthday.
The doting mother posted a clip of the intimate family event on her Instagram page last Saturday, June 20.
Along with Sanchez’s family, their household helpers also joined the surprise while dressed in their pajamas. After lighting candles on a simple cake, Sanchez’s husband, Art, walked into Gela’s bedroom with white flowers while the rest of the family began singing “Happy Birthday”.
Ria then handed over the cake to her sister as they continued singing for her.
“Oh my god you’re 18!” Ria said. “Mom and Dad, you have an 18-year-old again!”
After Gela blew out the candles on her birthday cake, Ria called their parents for a photo with the now 18-year-old. Gela is Sanchez’s third child with her husband Art.
Along with Sanchez, other celebrity moms such as Karla Estrada and Jessa Zaragoza have also held birthday celebrations for their loved ones in their homes recently amid the community quarantine. JB
