As if things weren’t bad enough where the continually increasing number of COVID-19 infections is concerned, the country has been inundated with troubling and distracting issues involving the freedom of speech and of the press, China’s unabated use and abuse of our natural resources in the West Philippine sea, the perpetuation of rape culture by ignorant old men and the type of sickening arrogance empowered by a worsening culture of impunity.
The antiterrorism bill is the latest issue that has been deemed “urgent” by the powers that be. In the midst of the furor, we asked Superstar Nora Aunor what her thoughts were about it.
