MANILA, Philippines— Veteran actress Lilia Dizon, who passed away at 8:20 a.m. on Monday at age 95, will always be remembered for her smile and laughter, according to granddaughter, actress Lotlot de Leon.

The 1950s LVN star died due to complications of lung cancer, online reports said.

Dizon is mother to Lotlot’s dad, actor Christopher; and to her aunts, actresses Pinky and Lara Melissa.

She was first married to actor-director Gil de Leon, who also succumbed to cancer early on. She then married Antonio Abad and had two daughters, Corrie and Toni.

Lotlot said she would also remember Dizon through her “beautiful voice.”

On her Facebook account, the actress posted her photos with “Oma”—her term of endearment for her grandmother—during her wedding with Lebanese businessman Fadi El Soury in 2018.

Dizon was born Claire Strauss in Pampanga in 1928, the only child of Filipino Regina Dizon and German-American Abraham Strauss.
