He hasn’t severed ties with Manila: “I feel secure that, despite moving here, my career will continue to progress in the Philippines. We’re planning a teleserye and movie later this year.”

He recently scored an endorsement deal for Samsung Galaxy Y Duos, a very useful gadget, he says: “I ride the subway every day so the app Subway Maps is a big help.” He hasn’t made much headway in the city that never sleeps, but hopes it will happen soon: “I miss my fans. They are supportive of my dreams.”
