Slipknot Philippine concert rescheduled for January 2021

After several international acts either canceled or postponed their tours due to the COVID-19 pandemic, American heavy metal band Slipknot announced the new schedule for its Philippine concert next year.

Slipknot will be in the country on Jan. 15, 2021, according to its Instagram post today, June 11. The concert will be held at the Amoranto Stadium in Quezon City.

The Grammy Award-winning band was meant to visit the country last March 29, for the Asia leg of its “We Are Not Your Kind World Tour”. “We Are Not Your Kind” is Slipknot’s sixth studio album.

The band will also push through with its concerts in Singapore (Jan. 13), Japan (Jan. 10 and 11) and Indonesia (Jan. 17).

The selling of concert tickets will resume on June 30 at 10 a.m., as per Pulp Live World’s Facebook post today. The tickets that have been purchased prior to the concert’s postponement will still be valid in the new show date.

“[Ticket] prices, tiers, and sections, will REMAIN THE SAME for the new date,” it also clarified. Tickets prices range from P2,220 to P6,660.

The band announced the postponement of its tour “in light of global health concerns,” via Twitter on March 5.

Slipknot won the award for Best Metal Performance at the Grammys in 2005 for its song “Before I Forget”. It is also the band behind the tracks “Duality”, “Wait and Bleed” and “Unsainted”. JB
