Karla Estrada marked her daughter Magui Ford Plana’s senior high school graduation with an intimate celebration at home amid the general community quarantine.
The proud mother also penned a short yet heartfelt message for Magui to express her joy over her daughter’s latest achievement.
“Chase your dreams my dear Magui! Never stop trying, never stop [l]earning,” the actress-TV host said on her Instagram page last Sunday, June 7.
“Live life to the fullest, give it nothing but your [b]est! Congratulations anak (daughter)!” Estrada added. “[You’re] off to great places, I can’t wait to watch you shine as you enter the next chapter in life.”
Since Magui was not able to receive her diploma directly from her teachers due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, her older brother Daniel Padilla acted as one of the school’s staff for their celebration. Magui, dressed in her graduation cap and gown, received a rolled-up piece of paper from the actor as her name was called in the video of the virtual commencement exercises.
Along with Estrada and her children, their loved ones visited their home to celebrate Magui’s recent milestone as well. Magui later took to her own page to thank “everyone who supported [her] along the way.” She also posted photos of her with her siblings by some balloons.
Magui finished senior high school at the British School Manila in Taguig City. She is Estrada’s first daughter with the actress’s former partner, Mike Planas. /ra
