OPM icon Ebe Dancel is set to hold an online show tomorrow, May 29, in celebration of his upcoming 44th birthday on May 30.
The virtual event will take place on his official Facebook page starting at 8:30 p.m., as per his post last Tuesday, May 26. The musician also described the online show as his “little way of giving back.”
Prior to the scheduled birthday show, Dancel previously performed online for the “Bayanihan, Musikahan” fundraiser initiated by Ryan Cayabyab.
The former Sugarfree frontman held his first major solo concert titled “Ebe Dancel with the Manila String Machine” last Feb. 29, days before the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine was imposed. The said show also commemorated his 20 years in the music industry and served as the launch of his third solo album, “Baliktanaw.”
Along with Dancel, other singers such as Asia’ Songbird Regine Velasquez and Darren Espanto have also held online concerts to celebrate their birthdays amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. /ra
