Indonesian DJs to join Singapore’s virtual rave
JAKARTA — Indonesian DJs Dipha Barus, Winky Wiryawan and Jevin Julian are set to perform alongside American DJ Diplo and British DJ Christina Novelli at Zouk Phuturescapes, a virtual rave planned by Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and nightclub Zouk Singapore.
Zouk Phuturescapes is said to be divided into three virtual parties, starting with the United States on Friday, followed by Asia and Australia on Saturday and in the United Kingdom on Sunday.
All events will be aired via video conference platform Zoom for a limited number of viewers of 1,000 each.

All three Zouk Phuturescapes will also be aired live on the organizers’ Facebook and YouTube accounts.
Other performers announced include DJ LeNERD, DJ Che’Molly, DJ KoFlow, rapper Yung Raja, singer-songwriter Jasmine Sokko, musician Benjamin Kheng, DJ Rave Republic and DJ San Holo. Meanwhile rapper ShiGGA Shay, model-presenter Hanli Hoefer and actor Mae Tan will cohost.
Article continues after this advertisementFor the event, the organizers teamed up with media platform VICE, who collaborated with Australia-based design studio Tin&Ed to create augmented reality (AR) filters for Instagram users.
Among the filters is Diplo’s avatar with a 3D image of the Gardens by the Bay in the background, which partygoers can use and post on their account.
