Ruby Rodriguez was rushed to the hospital yesterday, May 20, after experiencing pain in her stomach.
The actress and TV host posted a photo of her hand with an intravenous (IV) drip on her Instagram Stories on the same day.
Rodriguez’s daughter, Antoinette Nicole “Toni” Aquino, later expressed her sadness over not being able to take her mother to the hospital. Aquino is currently in California, USA, as per GMA yesterday.
“I spent 20 [minutes] crying because I felt guilty about not being by my [mom’s] side,” she added, while asking her father, Mark, to take care of Rodriguez. Aquino also reminded her mother to take care of her stomach.
Rodriguez then assured her daughter that she was already confined in a hospital and that she had received antibiotics.
The actress-host later revealed that she was brought to the Manila Doctors Hospital, where she shared a photo of her “relaxing” view from her hospital room.
Rodriguez did not specify what had caused her stomach pain. Prior to being hospitalized, Rodriguez mourned the loss of her older sister Dr. Sally Gatchalian who passed away in March due to COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus. /ra
