WATCH: Billy Crawford takes on funny video challenge in birthday surprise from Coleen Garcia
Coleen Garcia turned a funny challenge into a heartfelt surprise to celebrate Billy Crawford’s birthday while they stay at home amid the spread of the coronavirus.
The actor turned a year older yesterday, May 16.
The challenge they participated in involved trying not to laugh at funny videos while their mouths were full of water. Garcia posted their attempt on their joint YouTube channel on May 15.
Garcia and Crawford viewed clips chosen by Garcia’s cousin and fellow celebrity Ria Atayde for the challenge. After watching two short videos, Crawford could not stop his laughter and ended up spitting out the water. Garcia later gave in to the funny clips as well and released the water from her mouth.
Following Garcia’s failure to keep herself from laughing, the videos changed to heartfelt greetings from Crawford’s loved ones. However, Garcia urged the actor to continue the challenge while watching the surprise.
Jay R, Kim Atienza, Ogie Alcasid, Vhong Navarro and Gary Valenciano were among the stars that greeted him. Crawford was able to keep the water in his mouth until the message from Atayde began to play.
Atayde joked about visiting Crawford amid the quarantine but quickly stressed that she would not do it, adding that “the law is the law.” This phrase appeared to be an inside joke for the two, as Crawford immediately spewed out the water and laughed when he heard it.
As the surprise came to an end, Garcia’s greeting for her husband played, which later left her husband in tears. She noted how Crawford was a “naturally happy person” and hoped that the surprise put a smile on his face despite the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.
Garcia also pointed out how their upcoming baby is another reason to celebrate amid these unprecedented times. The couple first revealed they are having a child together last May 1. At the time, Garcia also disclosed that she is already five months into her pregnancy.
Garcia and Crawford tied the knot in a beach ceremony at Balesin Island Club in Quezon province last April 2018. NVG
