LOOK: Catriona Gray honors her mother’s beauty in throwback moments

Catriona Gray showed off her mother’s beauty while she went down memory lane with some old photos of them from her childhood.

“Missing my mama @mitagray today,” she said alongside two pictures of her and her mom Normita, who flashed a smile in both portraits. The beauty queen posted the photos on her Instagram page last Thursday, May 7.

Gray explained that her parents are safe in their home in Australia while she is staying in Manila during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. While they are miles apart, her mother sent over the sepia-toned photos of them.

“It’s my first time seeing them,” the Miss Universe 2018 winner said. “My mama is so beautiful.”

Gray has always been proud of her close relationship with her parents. When she was named Miss Universe in 2018, she quickly expressed her gratitude for their support.

She thanked her dad Ian for teaching her to become “tough, gutsy and give power to [her] words.” Meanwhile, Gray credited her mother for raising her to “always trust [her] intuition and hold a [fiery] soul in a soft heart.” JB
