As the country continues to battle the onslaught of COVID-19, actor JM de Guzman became a recent addition to the growing list of celebrities helping those who are most affected by the health crisis.

De Guzman and his team reached out to two barangays in Montalban, Rizal, including persons with disabilities (PWDs) in the area. They handed out bags of rice and trays of eggs, as seen on the actor’s Instagram post yesterday, May 7.

De Guzman showed a few outtakes from the donation drive through a series of videos and photos. To maintain social distancing, the residents of Montalban sat in monoblock chairs set at least one meter apart while waiting for their turn to receive the relief goods.

The actor expressed his gratitude to the their donors, as well as gave special thanks to some of his fans.

Besides De Guzman, many other actors and TV personalities have also contributed to the COVID-19 relief efforts in the country, such as Rocco Nacino, Bea Alonzo, and Bela Padilla.

De Guzman is the actor behind the 2014 romantic comedy film “That Thing Called Tadhana,” co-starred with Angelica Panganiban.  /ra
