Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber have teamed up for a new song to raise funds for the children of frontliners battling the spread of the coronavirus.
The upcoming single, titled “Stuck with U” will be available on Friday, May 8, Grande said on her Instagram page last Saturday, May 2.
The two singers have partnered with nonprofit organization First Responders Children’s Foundation and entertainment executive Scooter Braun’s company, SB Projects, for the release.
Proceeds from the streams and sales of the new song will be donated to the children’s foundation. The collected amount will then be used to fund grants and scholarships for children of healthcare workers and other frontliners that are braving the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Meanwhile, the “Yummy” singer asked his fans to help them create the music video for the song. He posted an instrumental version of the track and asked his fans to send clips of them dancing to it.
“I want to see you guys having fun in quarantine. This is the prom song for everyone who can’t go to prom now,” he said. “Tweet us videos using #stuckwithu or #stuckwithuvideo of you in your prom dresses or suits with your loved ones having fun or dancing to the instrumental.”
“If you don’t have that just have fun with your loved ones,” Bieber added. “Help us make this about all of us in quarantine.”
Along with the upcoming single, the “Thank U, Next” singer also participated in the star-studded “Disney Family Singalong” event last month. Grande performed a rendition of “I Won’t Say (I’m in Love),” which was originally sung by Susan Egan and which appeared in the 1997 animated film “Hercules.” /ra
