Angelika Dela Cruz chides netizen for cursing her over donated relief goods

MANILA, Philippines — Actress Angelika Dela Cruz on Tuesday chided a netizen who reviled her online after receiving relief goods from the actress, who serves as a barangay chairperson in Malabon.

On Instagram, the actress-politician posted a screenshot of the netizen’s conversation on Facebook in which she questioned why the canned goods she received from Dela Cruz, the barangay chairman of Barangay Longos, were different from those received by other constituents.

The other netizen then commented: “Eh bakit kc p*tang ina ni Angelika.”

The actress could not help but express her frustration.

“Eto ‘yung taong binigyan mo na, mumurahin ka pa. Kahit konti konti, madalas naman akong magbigay ng relief goods (This is an example of a person who will curse you even after you have extended help to them. Even if the relief goods I gave are not that much, I donate often),” the actress said.

“Tapos tag team sila ng ugali ng asawa nya na ang sabi ‘P*ta naging ka apelido pa daw nya ako nakakahiya daw na mapagkamalan na kamaganak ko sya. Huwow kuya feeling pogi mo naman… ang taas ng tingin ninyong mag asawa sa sarili ninyo,” she added, referring to the netizen who cursed her and the latter’s husband.

(Then her character and that of her husband are the same. Her husband said it is embarrassing that we have the same surnames. “Wow, you are so full of yourself. You and your wife think so highly of yourselves.”)

Dela Cruz then lamented how some would even talk negatively against others when they themselves have not extended help during the COVID-19 crisis.

It’s not immediately known if the actress will lodge charges against the netizen.

Other celebrities have extended help to the needy during the crisis, while others have responded to calls for help by raising relief initiatives and donation drives.
