WATCH: Kim Chiu donates 2,500 food packs, 2,000 face shields for 30th birthday
Kim Chiu handed out relief goods and face shields to various barangays and hospitals for her birthday amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The actress turned 30 years old on April 19.
She and her team prepared food packs containing rice, noodles and canned goods for 2,500 families in three barangays, as seen in her vlog post on YouTube yesterday, April 29. Along with the relief goods, they also created 2,000 face shields for frontliners in hospitals.
Chiu and the group hand-delivered the supplies on April 18, starting with the barangays. Following the distribution of the relief goods, the team collected vitamins and fast-food meals to go with their handmade face shields as they visited nine medical centers.
Among the hospitals they donated to were the Lung Center of the Philippines, East Avenue Medical Center and Philippine Children’s Medical Center.
