KZ Tandingan and TJ Monterde composed a new tune inspired by the recent livestream of Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz.

The two actors reunited via Instagram Live last Monday, April 27, delighting many of their fans as they reminisced their love team’s best movies.

Tandingan and Monterde released the song titled “Tayo Pa Rin Pala” on the latter’s Facebook page yesterday, April 29.

“A song inspired by Popoy [and] Basha THE JLC-BEA IG LIVE,” Monterde added, referring to the actors’ characters in the 2007 drama “One More Chance.”

The accompanying video for the song also mirrored the event it was inspired by, showing Tandingan and Monterde in their own livestream.

Prior to uploading the track on his page, Monterde explained in another video that the song was a “very wild idea.” He said that Tandingan suddenly wrote some lyrics after watching the said livestream. The two singers then worked on it together by exchanging files from the safety of their homes amid the quarantine.

Meanwhile, Tandingan stated on her Twitter page that their song is not part of any movie or teleserye promotion plan. Her post came after filmmaker Antoinette Jadaone revealed that the livestream was a project between Cruz and Alonzo.

“We also wish for both of them to be in one project soon or end up together in real life but NO, kami kami lang to, may topak lang talaga ako kahapon (this is just us, I was just really crazy yesterday),” Tandingan joked.

Cruz and Alonzo have worked on various productions together, such as “One More Chance,” its 2015 sequel “A Second Chance” and the 2002 teleserye “Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay.”  /ra
