Coleen asks bashers to cut Vice and Ion some slack

Actress Coleen Garcia defends good friend Vice Ganda, who still has bashers six months after admitting his romantic relationship with fellow “It’s Showtime!” regular Ion Perez.

“Vice really deserves somebody who will love him,” says Coleen, who also used to host the noontime variety show on ABS-CBN, along with husband Billy Crawford.

“Ion is a nice guy,” Coleen declares. “I feel for them because they get bashed a lot. People say bad things about them, even though they don’t know Vice and Ion. I’m saying this sincerely; Ion is a good guy. Vice deserves someone who is good, someone who is willing to take care of him. In his life, he has taken care of a lot of people.” —MARINEL R. CRUZ
