While healthcare workers continuously battle the COVID-19 pandemic, rapper Eminem served “mom’s spaghetti” to boost the morale of some hospital workers in his hometown of Detroit, in the United States.

Eminem kept his effort under wraps but his beneficiaries appear to be “losing themselves” because of the surprise treat, as per Henry Ford Health System’s Instagram post yesterday, April 22.

“Our #HealthcareHeroes ‘lost themselves’ in the delicious Mom’s Spaghetti donated by Detroit’s very own, @eminem,” it said. “Thank you for providing a special meal for our team members!”

The pasta containers had the label “mom’s spaghetti” and a short message saying “Thank you frontline caregivers.”

“Mom’s spaghetti” takes after a line from Eminem’s 2002 song “Lose Yourself” for the movie “8 Mile”. Among other accolades, the song won an Oscar for Best Original Song in 2003, the first rap song to ever win the award.

The rapper sent the food donations through his charity organization, Marshall Mathers Foundation, The Detroit News reported yesterday, April 22.
