Rica Peralejo offers free Lent workbook for Holy Week during quarantine

MANILA, Philippines—With Luzon under lockdown during Holy Week, Filipinos are finding ways to practice their faith in the safety of their homes.

To help address this need for spirituality, former actress Rica Peralejo has made a Lent workbook she created with friends available online for free.

The workbook, titled “Anchor of the Soul”, can be downloaded from her blog.

Peralejo said in her Instagram post Wednesday, April 8, “Our team made this before the week of Lent, and we are sharing it again for those who want something soul-filling, spirit-lifting for this week.”

She said that the four-day devotional has “reflection prompts, a playlist, and morning and night activities you can share with the people who live with you, or with your friends via Zoom!!!”

With the workbook starting on Maundy Thursday, Peralejo posted a video this morning of her reflections for the day on Instagram.

TV host and radio DJ Andi Manzano commented that she was using the workbook already. “Starting it today!!! Thank you for sharing it [with] us. My family is doing it too.”

Peralejo has been married to Christian pastor Joseph Bonifacio since 2010. The actress, who rose to fame with ‘90s youth shows like “Ang TV” and “Gimik”, has stayed out of showbiz for the past years to raise a family.
