Actors and real-life couple Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes provided sustenance for hospital frontliners who continue the battle against COVID-19.

Rivera cooked a special family recipe, “Menudo ni Nanay Ingkang,” for the employees at the Quezon City General Hospital, as seen on her Instagram account yesterday April 1.

While Rivera prepared the frontliners’s meals in large portions, Dantes placed the rice on the food containers and secured the packaging.

Dantes also expressed his gratitude to the health care workers via his Instagram post on the same day, accompanied by a snapshot of his wife preparing the meals.

“Maraming salamat sa inyong dedikasyon para sa kaligtasan naming lahat,” he said. “Panalangin namin ang inyong kalakasan habang kinakaharap at tinatalo natin ang krisis na ito.”

(Thank you for your dedication to ensure everyone’s safety. We pray for your strength as we continue facing and defeating this crisis.)

Dantes and Rivera are part of the growing list of celebrities extending their help to hospital workers by providing them meals, including Neri Naig, Jake Cuenca and Kylie Verzosa. Meanwhile, actress Angel Locsin raised almost P4 million to help address overcrowding at hospitals brought about by the health crisis. JB
