People are finding new ways to show their appreciation for frontline workers who are helping the public in fighting COVID-19. Such is the case with actress Dimples Romana, who recently joined an online challenge to celebrate the frontliners.

Romana grooved with her son Alonzo to the tune of Icona Pop’s “Clap Snap” on TikTok, footage of which she also uploaded via her Instagram account on Wednesday, March 31.

Georcelle Dapat-Sy (Teacher Georcelle) of G-Force dance group, who choreographed Sarah Geronimo’s sensational song “Tala”, also undertook the challenge. Romana gave her a shoutout as the actress performed the routine.

Challenge accepted @teachergeorcelle,” Romana declared. “[A]pplause for our dearest frontliners.”

The “Kadenang Ginto” star also nominated her fellow actors Bea Alonzo, Matteo Guidicelli, Bea Saw and “Jowable” stars Kim Molina and Jerald Napoles to do the challenge.

Teacher Georcelle dedicated her performance of the challenge to “all the frontliners in the world,” as seen on her Instagram post on March 29. She also gave a special shoutout to G-Force’s doctor who works at the Veteran’s Hospital.

Her version of the challenge saw her doing a polished routine of clapping her hands and snapping her fingers to the tune of the upbeat song.

Fans of singer Darren Espanto also took on the challenge on TikTok. A netizen, @jilliannejordan, compiled clips of the fans and posted these via Instagram yesterday, April 1.

“DARRENatics Team NCR virtual applause to all the #frontliners in the world!” the fan said.

Romana, with the help of her fellow actress Angel Locsin, is also raising funds to set up tents in hospitals for the frontliners. JB
