WATCH: Dua Lipa, dancers perform ‘Don’t Start Now’ via video call

Dua Lipa performed her recent hit “Don’t Start Now” complete with her band and dancers via a video call as part of James Corden’s “Homefest” special.

The singer uploaded the online performance on her Instagram page yesterday, March 31. She also noted that it was the first time she appeared on Corden’s popular late-night show “The Late Late Show with James Corden.”

The short clip began with Dua Lipa featured on the whole screen, but her team immediately joined her from the safety of their homes as she began singing.

The artist’s band consisted of two men on guitars and a woman on a keyboard. Dua Lipa’s vocals were also accompanied by two female backup singers. Meanwhile, six female dancers wearing leggings grooved to the upbeat tune throughout the three-minute performance.

Aside from Dua Lipa, other artists such as Billie Eilish, John Legend and the K-pop group BTS joined Corden’s Homefest special. The series of online performances hosted by the talk show host aims to raise money for charity amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Following the episode, Corden uploaded a short message for his viewers on his Twitter page yesterday. He explained that the broadcast was meant to “bring some joy and some music into your home at what is without a question one of the strangest and scariest moments in all our lives.”

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases globally has reached over 750,00, as of yesterday. The World Health Organization also stated that more than 36,400 have died.  /ra
