MANILA, Philippines — Iza Calzado has now tested negative for COVID-19 as she recovers from the infectious disease, her manager announced Monday.
Noel Ferrer said on Facebook, “It’s an amazing start of the week as we were just told that Iza can go home tomorrow after completing her IV antibiotics!”
The news comes after Ferrer confirmed Saturday that the actress had tested positive for COVID-19, a respiratory illness caused by a coronavirus named SARS-CoV-2, and was being treated for pneumonia and the virus.
Calzado said on March 25 that she was confined in the hospital for pneumonia. Ferrer, however, said Sunday that the actress was “coping well” with the disease and getting better compared to previous days.
