The Filipino audience shouldn’t feel deprived of watching films just because they don’t have the money for it, especially during this quarantine period,” said filmmaker Joselito Altarejos, who has just released two of his award-winning films online for free.

The links to 2014’s “Kasal” and 2016’s “TPO (Temporary Protection Order)” have already been up, Altarejos said, while those of 2017’s “Tale of the Lost Boys,” 2009’s “Ang Laro sa Buhay ni Juan,” 2010’s “Pink Halo-Halo,” 2014’s “Unfriend” and 2019’s “Jino to Mari” will be up in the next few days.

Altarejos said that through the multimedia production company 2076Kolektib, which he formed in 2019, he has been screening Filipino films online for free since January 2020.

“What this group wants is to take these films to different communities,” he declared. “This is our small gift to the Filipino audience. Soon, we hope to be able to share the films [that are carried by 2076Kolektib] with them, not just during the quarantine period, but for an unlimited period of time,” the director said.
