Who PH celebs would love to be quarantined with

/ 12:01 AM March 30, 2020

(Second of three parts)

Since washing our hands is a must these days, here comes Sen. Koko Pimentel washing his hands off the Makati Medical Center (MMC) issue. Hmm… he’s doing a Pontius Pilate in time for Semana Santa.

Now on to more positive things: During this quarantine period, most of us daydream of being locked down 24/7 with our crush or idol. Wishful thinking serves as an antidote to our COVID-19 fears.

So I asked some celebs who would they want to be “under house arrest” with (aside from their loved ones) if they were given a choice.

FEATURED STORIES

Amid the chaos, let’s cherish the gift of time that this situation brings. Now that everything is uncertain, everything that is important becomes clear.

Tom Rodriguez’s new YouTube channel

Tom Rodriguez

TOM RODRIGUEZ: I would choose Donald Glover. I came across his YouTube videos when I was still in college. Since then, he became a writer for several TV shows, a stand-up comedian, actor, musician (as Childish Gambino) and now a director/producer.

I consider him a “Renaissance Man.” I want to ask him how he is able to give his all to his various passions, and how he handles fear and creative block. During lockdown, there’s nothing else I want to do than to collaborate with Donald in art and music.

Carmina Villaroel

CARMINA VILLAROEL: I am a fan of BTS and it would be nice to spend time with them during quarantine. They can perform, I can sing and dance with them, and they can teach me their choreography.

They can also cook Korean food for me, and I can cook Filipino food for them. It would also be an opportunity to learn more about Korean culture, and for me to share Filipino culture with them. Some of the questions I would ask them: How do they handle the pressure of being world-famous? Does fame get tiring? What keeps them motivated? How do they take care of themselves amid their hectic sched?

Nyoy Volante

NYOY VOLANTE: Gary V. Aside from being one of my all-time idols, we have so many common interests. He’s into basketball, making music and gadgets. We definitely won’t run out of things to talk about and enjoy doing together.

Christian Bautista

CHRISTIAN BAUTISTA: I will ask for Ma’am Jessica Soho. We would discuss ways and set up an information center to help inspire and inform Filipinos during this crisis.

Gil Cuerva

GIL CUERVA: I would pick Mayor Vico Sotto. We will come up with ideas on how to help our respective communities, and how to use our influence and platform to spread awareness and genuinely help other people. INQ
