Anne Curtis donates alcohol, gloves to hospitals battling COVID-19

Kapamilya star Anne Curtis is now lending a hand to the country’s health workers and frontliners in the battle against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Curtis and her team at Dream Machine, the foundation the actress put up, donated to four medical institutions 50 gallons of alcohol and 3000 pieces of gloves each, as per her Facebook post yesterday, March 25.

The supplies, which totaled to 200 gallons of alcohol and 12,000 pieces of gloves, is just the first batch of donations, she noted. Dr. Jose Rodriguez Memorial Hospital, Lung Center of the Philippines, San Lazaro Hospital and the Research Institute of Tropical Medicine received the said items.

Curtis’ announcement came with a short message of gratitude to health workers and frontliners for their dedication and hard work.

“I pray for your safety and health as you continue to put your own well-being on the line. I hope makatulong po ito (I hope this helps),” she said.

The actress noted that more donations will come, although her team is having a hard time looking for stocks of the key supplies.

“Sa Dream Machine team ko, thank you for working hard to contact the suppliers and making sure legit sila habang Wala ako at tutok sa mommy duties muna (they are legitimate while I am away focusing on my mommy duties). God Bless all of you!!!” she stressed.

Curtis also called on those who are capable of donating to unite and “help protect those who are risking their lives for the Filipino people.” You can donate to Curtis’s foundation Dream Machine through their website www.dreammachine.ph.

There are currently 636 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country while 38 people have died and 26 have recovered, as of yesterday, March 25. Globally, 414,179 people have been infected while 18,440 lives have been claimed.
